Each year Small Business Trends Radio scours the Internet and chooses 100 of the most useful and informative podcasts they can find for entrepreneurs, small businesses and small business owners. The majority of the podcasts listed have a focus on small business while others have a bit more of a broader focus.
- Thanks to member Renae Hartson of Out of the Box for this article, which lists The Top Free Press Release Distribution Sites. This is very helpful since there are probably hundreds of free sites out there. But which ones are really useful?
-
Tynt.com - What's being copied from your site? This site offers a no-charge service that will put a tag line with your Web site link onto anything copied from your site. It also keeps track of what is being copied. All it requires is putting a line of code on each of your site's pages.
-
WhoShouldIFollow.com - Enter your Twitter user name, and it will suggest people you might want to follow. Really the best tool for finding people to follow on Twitter.
- Facebook Grader - If you're on Facebook, find out how well your profile stacks up against the profiles of millions of other Facebook users.
- I recently learned about FeedFlares at Feedburner, which allows you to add interactivity at the end of every post delivered in feeds. There is a catalog of FeedFlares that you can access through Feedburner and includes options for readers to add posts to Twitter, Facebook, Blogroll, Blogs, Technorati, Email, and many more.
- BUDurl.com - Use this program to shrink long URLs and get tracking information on your link. Great for promotions in Twitter and other social sites. Allows you to track traffic to the landing page through the link you assign.
- TellAFriend.com - They call themselves a "social twist service". Replace your standard social bookmarking buttons with a Tell-a-Friend button. More effective for sharing and promoting your content.
- Ebates.com - Sign up for free today - it only takes 15 seconds and you'll get a $5 sign up bonus (I'll get one too!). Then you can shop online and earn money back. I earned 15% cash back on my $3 per $25 gift certificate purchase at Restaurant.com.
- Want a cool picture like member Amy Starr Allen? She suggests visiting http://www.picnik.com/. Picnik makes your photos fabulous with easy to use yet powerful editing tools. Tweak to your heart’s content, then get creative with oodles of effects, fonts, shapes, and frames.

"Traci Bisson is an excellent problem solver and a tenacious and creative thinker - how else could she have created such an amazing Google group - The Mom Entrepreneur. I thank Traci everyday for her leadership in the group. The resources she gathered, the community she fosters and the opportunities she creates in the group are invaluable to it's members. I should know...I'm a member. Thank you Traci."

"I am so happy to write a recommendation for Traci. Her support group for mom entrepreneurs is SOLID. She gets the cream of the crop-- moms who run varied businesses of all types and discuss interesting topics. She tends to attract those mom entrepreneurs who are serious about their businesses and about learning more and continuing to expand and explore. I'm VERY MUCH enjoying being a part of the group. Traci is a solid leader who provides opportunities for us to network with each other and participate in advertising co-op opportunities. Thanks Traci!"

Testimonials for the new site: "I love the feel of the new site. I have so many new friends that I have met through this group, and I love the chat feature to keep in touch in "real time". I also love the bookstore area so I can keep my mom entrepreneur book list up to date. Thanks!"
"I find the site user friendly and well laid out. I feel more connected with the other members because their profiles are easily accessible...it is, in a way, more intimate. I will spend more time on the site because of the personal nature it. I love that there is a place where other mom entrepreneurs are experiencing similar triumphs and set backs. I need that support as I launch my new company. It is absolutely worth the monthly fee."
"You will love this new site. It is an organized place for us to meet and talk in "real time" via instant messaging and chat rooms. It's like our own private Facebook. Emails are also more organized by Mom and Entrepreneur categories." "This site is very well done and very professional. I love that everything, including discussions, is in one place."
